HOW DO I BUY AN ORIGINAL?

I’m thrilled that you are interested in an original! I create as many paintings as possible and will release them in collections on my website a few times per year.  This will be well advertised before hand via social media, my blog, and mailing list.  Join the mailing list to get early access or first looks at new original work.

IS FINE ART AVAILABLE FOR COMMISSION?

I love working on commissions and enjoy getting to know my clients. I will need a few things to get started; size of the piece, colors you would like incorporated, and an understanding of the composition that you are interested in. Sending me examples of my work that you like and dislike are all wonderful as well! Any and all information helps me to create what you are looking for. Once I get started I will send you images of the piece to approve and move forward with or to make changes to. Half of the cost is needed at the start then once you see the final product and love it, you will receive a link for the final purchase amount for your new piece.

FRAMING:

I highly encourage framing all your prints and originals.  Not only do they look incredibly beautiful framed, but it will help to protect your fresh artwork from wear and dust.

DON’T FORGET THE MAT.  Matting your print will make it look SO much more beautiful and elegant.

Just a note about displaying your prints: Please do not use tape (including washi tape) on the front of your new print as it can damage the piece.

UV PROTECTION:

When you receive your order, take the utmost care to ensure longevity. This means hanging it in a temperature controlled environment with proper humidity, avoiding hanging in sunlight or exposed to vents, and taking the time and care to hang your product properly.

If you plan to hang your artwork in direct sunlight, we are not held responsible for fading.

YOU WOULD LIKE A LARGER PRINT?

The sizes listed are the largest sizes I am able to create.  The image quality and the delicacy of the details are very important to me and add to the value of my work.

If you are interested in filling a super large area of your wall with my artwork (which looks awesome!!!) I recommend putting together a collection of 3-4 pieces.  I’m not offering collector discounts at this time but we can talk about multiple purchases in the future if you’re interested. Email shop@maggicummingsart.com to discuss that!

WHO ACTUALLY OWNS THE PAINTING?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create.  This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings.   I retain the right to make REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY AND ALL ARTWORK I CREATE UNLESS THE COLLECTOR HAS PURCHASED THE FULL OR PARTIAL RIGHTS TO THE ARTWORK (this is in addition to purchasing the original).

The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit.

When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors choose to purchase my right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  I am totally happy to discuss that with you if you would like!
